Fried Pickles

6 Jul

I am sure that I will revise this a little later but this recipe is not bad for a start. I thank my friend, Shea Ayers, for giving me the main idea of how to prepare these.

1 16-oz jar Dill Pickles

1 1/2 cup milk

1 cup flour

Dash of Pepper

1/2 cup Plain Breadcrumbs

1/4 tsp Celery Salt

2 Eggs

Oil for Frying

Start Preparing

  1. Place dill pickles in milk and let set for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare dredging ingredients by placing flour, pepper, breadcrumbs and celery salt in bowl. In seperate bowl whisk the eggs together.
  3. Place oil in pot and begin heating on medium-high.
  4. Remove pickles from milk and place in egg, then dredge in flour mixture. Shake off any excess batter and place in heated oil. Let fry for 1-2 minutes or until pickles are golden brown and floating.
  5. Repeat this process until all of pickles have been cooked.

Well ya know Lisa, Hidden Valley ranch is the ONLY kind! Anybody that serves it w/ anything less just needs to be prayed for!
